Re Frustrated.
dr_banuska, I am sorry to hear that you believe that you are being unfairly rated. Note, rating is open to all users. When I look at the ratings for the comments you have received I note that your average rating for all your comments is 3.71 as of today at 8:29pm which is considerably better than average. Comparing it with the rating for all the other people on the page of your comment you are actually the third highest out of 8 which is doing well against commenters, some of whom have been putting in comments for 4 or 6 years.

As the site's organiser I do not control the rating. I have noticed over the years that comments that make their points briskly, with interesting non-obvious information, which are structured into paragraphs (use extra returns), have good photos etc tend to do well. Comments that have proper access points described with grid references are also at an advantage. I have also noticed that the score on comments tends to even out over the years.
