Mourne Access
Informative as always Bleck Cra. I know I always check your comments before attempting new routes, so Ken G, you'd be wise to do the same sir!! Cra, what about Banns Road as an alternative route to the wall? Its's easy on the legs unless you want to climb Slieve Muck and it unwraps one of the best views around when the Ben Crom dam comes into view. Or up the Ott track as an easier route to Muck?

Incidentally, a friend of mine is doing a photography course and I've agreed to take him around some of the more accessible routes in order to get some good pics. Have you ever attempted to go up Bearnagh following a route from the south ie from Ben Crom? I thought this might provide an easier climb for the less well adjusted until he is ready for the standard routes! Although if this typical bank holiday weather doesn't improve we'll be sitting put for another while!
Cheers.
