Re Is comment rating gone?
Conor

No, comment rating has not gone! Users are encouraged to rate comments as always. Comment rating is used to determine the position of comments for any given summit which is intended to bring the better comments to the fore and reward the really excellent comments that some put in.

The volume of comments has risen significantly - it was over 100 last month and has hit 50 already this month (on the 14th) which may account for why there are indeed some comments not getting rated. With high volumes the amount of time comments are displayed on the first page may only be a few days.

I take your point that it is extremely irritating to see relatively plain comments elevated in front of comments that have carefully thought out information, grid references, historical notes or are really stylish and amusing. It's also irritating to see comments with poor photos ( such as sky too bright and/or ground too dark) get undue position.

However I think that the site needs some method of displaying the best information in the most accessible way, so the feature will not be dropped though it could certainly be modified.
What do other users think and what suggestions are there?

Westaston Hill: The top?

I think the highest point is likely about 175 metres in a WSW direction from the mast. I'm judging this from aerial photography and DTM which shows a rocky outcrop in a small forest clearing. DTM ...

Might be worth adding that Ballymoyle Hill might be more appropriate name for this height. Called that in Coillte records. Whilst Barranisky is spelt thus on OS six inch maps, note that Hall Nevil...
