Isolation & Remoteness
You can have a mathematic approach of the problem with a strict rule. Anything built by a human breaks isolation (a plantation is not built, trees are alive). But you forgot one thing, the time. If you consider time. Old stones can be taken into account or not. Nevertheless, there is still a problem. 3 years ago I walked to Slieve Snaght. I started at the church of Dunlewy (without roof). They are some houses here. The weather was very windy and cold. In Poisoned Glen, I felt alone nowhere. I did not meet anybody, except deers. Was I at the most isolated place in Ireland ? The answer is yes for me and my mind was far from all little things which annoy your life... My experience would have been different if I had crossed a group of hillwalkers.
An objective view, might be the mathematic approach, finally...
